Buddha Parietal Bone - Nanjing and Hong Kong - 2012

This photo story follows the journey of the representatives of Buddha Light Association traveling from Hong Kong to Nanjing, China to receive and bring what is known to be the parietal bone of Sakyamuni (Buddha). Discovered from an archeological find in 2008, this cultural relic has housed at Qixia Temple in Nanjing, China. This was the relic’s first exhibition trip beyond China’s borders to Hong Kong and Macau on April 24, 2012.
